Molecular Probes' President Receives Molecular Bioanalytics Award 2002

Dr. Richard P. Haugland, President of Molecular Probes, has received this year's Molecular Bioanalytic award, sponsored by Roche Diagnostics GmbH, in association with the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM). This award was bestowed jointly upon Dr. Richard P. Haugland and Dr. Lubert Stryer, the Mrs. George A. Winzer Professor of Cell Biology, Stanford University, for their outstanding achievements in the field of fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET).

The award was presented during the opening ceremony of the ANALYTICA fair in Munich, Germany on April 22, 2002, and the recipients gave an award lecture during the Analytica Conference on April 24, 2002.
